Sunday Services will be resuming at Holy Trinity, Burrington from Sunday 12th July. However, because of the current requirements, our pattern of worship has changed temporarily:-
1st Sundays: 8.00 a.m.BCP Holy Communion
2nd Sundays: 11.00 a.m. BCP Matins
3rd Sundays: 9.30 a.m.All-Age Communion (Common Worship)
4th Sundays: 11.00 a.m. BCP Matins
5th Sundays: 9.30 a.m. Parish Communion (Common Worship)
The services are going to feel slightly different. There will be no hymns No sharing of the Peace. You will only be invited to receive the bread (rather than the wine). And when you receive the bread, no prayer will be offered. Indeed Andrew or David will be wearing a facemask and gloves. Indeed you may feel, given the risk of infection, that you might prefer not to receive Holy Communion at the moment. That’s absolutely fine!
Finally many of our friends may feel unable to come. You may be shielding or simply feel that it’s unsafe for you to come back to gatherings of people. We perfectly understand and support you in that decision. For this reason we are maintaining the YouTube service until at least the end of September. Please don’t feel you have to come or have to join in with everything (even if you normally do!). These are strange times and we need to be alert to our own safety and the safety of those around us.
If you’d like to chat any of this through, please call David or one of the wardens.
